Winter: Lapland turns into a snow covered paradise and northern lights are often seen from the camp. Naturally you can go for a ride on the dog sledge at Joti’s or you can put on your cross country skis and enjoy 170km of prepared trails at Luosto. You can visit Santa Clause and the famous Arktikum museum in Rovaniemi or get up close to the reindeer at a farm nearby. Try some ice fishing, ice climbing or go for adrenalin pumping snow mobile ride through forest and across frozen lakes
Summer: The area is perfect for hiking (from only a few hours up to a few days), mountain biking, canoeing, bird-watching, visiting the amethyst mine or the nearby gold panning village. Go for a quad safari or try rock climbing in the nearby Phyä area. If you would like to join in the fun of the Midnight Sun Film Festival (Sodankylä), the Luosto Classic Open-Air- or the Phyä unplugged concerts, then Joti’s is ideally situated.
